Unique and interesting place. Rooms well equipped with very comfortable beds. Wide variety of breakfast options, even unstaffed. Absolutely gorgeous veranda, with plenty of room for relaxing and even having a cookout (grills provided!) This would be an excellent choice for a wedding party, or other group gathering. Decor is beautiful and almost like stepping back in time.

Ok. First off, I have no idea why this hotel doesn’t literally have a solid 5 stars across the board, but either way this is a 5 star stay! This place is amazingly comfortable, homey, charming & interesting. There’s also a ton of cool things to do within walking distance & the hotel staff is more than accommodating for their quests. Basically it’s exactly as they advertise!… Very pleased & will try to stay anytime I’m in the area, hopefully next time as a couple. ; )

This is a charming but tiny old world hotel in a great part of town. We were in Artesia because all rooms in Roswell were sold out during the Air Races there, and we’re lucky to get a room, even in Artesia. Since our choices were so few, our expectations were low, but we were pleasantly surprised at the Heritage Inn. Pros: Immaculately clean. Terrific location in Artesia Wonderfully restored Comfortable beds. Spacious room. (We had the deluxe queen) Reasonable rate. Cons: Its terrific location is a 2sided coin. Being directly on Main Street, it gets noisy. No elevator, and all 10 rooms are on the 2nd floor. No breakfast while we were there. No working ice machine. I’m not sure if this is a Pro, Con or just a quirk, but we saw no employees during our stay. We were checked-in over the phone, and given a code to enter the building. The hotel had real hardwood floors that added to the charm. We liked the place.

Stayed one night prior to touring Carlsbad Caverns. We loved it. Nicely redone downtown hotel with comfortable clean rooms. Breakfast is good and the washer/dryer are free to use in the evenings 3-9. Would definitely stay again.

What a quaint and well maintained little hotel. The place is really VERY WELL maintained. I booked here using an online service that unfortunately did not mention that all the rooms are on the second floor and that you have to use stairs as there is no elevator, something of an issue for my disabled wife. However this was more than made up for by the decor’ and cleanliness. Terrific place to stay.

Great stay! Had a few minor things happen. Faucet broke and fire alarm went off for no reason but the staff was very accommodating and moved us to another room when they realized they couldn't fix the sink right away. Comfortable and VERY quiet. 4th of July weekend and couldn't hear anything outside. Definitely recommend!

Stayed here about a year ago and after spending months on the road at many different hotels, I found this place to be a diamond in the ruff. Staff was super helpful and very friendly. The room was a little smaller then your standard hotel rooms but all was newly remodeled and very clean. The shower was the best one I’ve had ever used, that’s including my home shower. Great experience over all. Would definitely stay there again if I’m ever in the area

Would most definitely recommend staying at this adorable bnb! We absolutely loved our clean, comfortable and unique room. The patio was our favorite part, there is an adorable love seat looking out over the small town, a great place to spend the evening and morning for coffee. The owners were so friendly and made us feel welcome. Overall great experience.
